Increase Your Website Visibility
Jul 03, 2023This is Dave Katz with Therapist Consultants, and I have a tip for you. Every so often, you've got to check your website because it decays over time. Things that are on your website that were accurate at one time are not accurate anymore, and so you have to look at your website. Now, when you're looking at your website, let's look at a few things just in general.
First of all, let's make sure there's plenty of white space. Don't make it cluttered.
Second, make the type large enough that it's easy to read. Some therapists want to put in so much type that the type is small and it's hard to read. I will tell you that bullet points are read much more frequently than paragraphs. If you want to write five short paragraphs, or you want to put in five bullet points, I'll tell you, the bullet points will be watched and looked at and read a lot more.
The third, next thing you should do with your website to make sure that its used to the best of its ability, is you should have your telephone number above the fold, which means they don't have to scroll down to see it. I'd have it right in the top of the header, and I'd have it large in the top of the header too.
And, here's the next tip, I would suggest that you make that telephone number live call clickable, so they can click on that phone number and go to the right place, or if it says set an appointment, make it clickable so that they can click and set an appointment right then. You'll find that if you do these simple little things, your website will be much more productive.
Here's what you do for your assignment this week. Look at your website, read through it, find out if everything is still accurate or if you need some things changed, and then change it, because when you do change, the search engines like that, and they start to rate you higher.
