Concierge Management Pt 2

Hi, this is Dave Kats with Therapist Consultants, and I have a tip for you. Last time we talked about the beginning of your Concierge program. Now, what is a Concierge program? It's a program where you charge your patients, the ones that want to do it, a monthly fee, and then they can come in as they needed, and you will be readily available to them at any time. So if they want to call with a five-minute question, if they want to call with an eight-minute question, go ahead and let them call, and you answer them, or you call them right back. Or you give them the opportunity to text you and you text them right back.

So it's a very good thing to do, the concierge type of practice. It really makes practice a lot more fun to tell you the truth. Now, can you integrate it with your regular practice? Yes, just at the end when you're telling people about finances, you say we have two choices. You can pay each time you come in, or we have a concierge membership that lasts for a year. Concierge membership lasts for a year and you pay so much a month and then you can come in as you need it. Now, how much should you charge? What is so much a month? Well, so much a month is usually about two visits. So if they came in for two visits in a month, they'd pay as much as if they paid their concierge fee. So if your fee is $150 a month, $150 a visit, then maybe $300 a month would be your concierge fee.

And first, when they come in four times, you're actually losing money, but you make it up in that year's membership. It's so much fun. It takes the money factor out of it. It takes the scheduling factor out of it. And it just does a real nice thing. So how do you do it? Well, when you're scheduling them and you go over their finances, you say there's two ways we can do this. We have a concierge program or a single visit program. You can pay each time when you come in for a single visit or you can pay $300 a month. It's a year long membership. Pay $300 a month. You can come in anytime you want to. You can call anytime you want to. You're the first people on our list. You get priority. And it really is a fun way to have a practice.

So think about doing a concierge management type program. I think you'd enjoy it.
