8 Areas of Growth

Hi, this is Dave Kats with Therapist Consultants and I have a tip for you. You know, as we go into the new year, we want think about setting and reaching goals for 2025. So we really want to think about what you're going to do.

Remember, the more you do of what you're doing, the more you'll get of what you got. And if you want something you never had before, you have to do something you never done before. So let's set our new goals for 2025 right now. Now I would suggest that there are about eight areas in your life that you really want to look at.

The first area would be your physical life. What do you want to do to better yourself physically? The next area would be your spiritual life. What do you want to do to better yourself spiritually? 

The next area would be your business life. How do you want to grow your business? What do you want to change? How do you want to make it more profitable? The next area would be your financial life. How would you like to change your financial life so you have less debt or you have more income?

The next thing you want to look at is your family life. And by the way, these are in no particular order. You'll find out which ones you need to work on. What do you want to do with your family to have a better family bond? The next area would be your social life. Maybe get out and do something. They say the happiest people are those people that have five or more close friends

The next area would be your educational life. I find out, in fact, I'm going to talk about this sometime in the future, that therapists who continually improve their education are generally those people who have the best practice. And then the last area I saved for last, number eight, is your leisure life. What are you going to do with your leisure life? What are you going to do so that you have fun while time is marching on?

So I would encourage you to sit down today and make a list of everything you want to have, do, and become. Just a vertical list, one, two, three. I hope you get about 12 or 13 or 14 things on that list. List about 12 or 13 or 14 things out of these eight categories, that you could do in those eight categories to make your life better. And I think if you set those goals and then you just endeavor to reach those goals during 2025, you'll find that you have a much better and much happier 2025 because growing is part of your happiness plan.
